The big painting is done for now. I just am going to gloss up the non-pastel parts. I should note that this piece is taller than I am - 6' by 4'. I had it spread across my studio at one point, and the twenty-pound cat jumped on it. It is quite the strong canvas because it held.

Better Picture, further along.

So, I am thinking of putting a watercolor wash of faint color on the animals. Not sure. It is sitting in my living room across from my sofa and to the left of the TV so I can sit and ponder it. My friend Ross says that it looks unfinished. Well after I gave him a particularly dirty look for saying that it looked like no work had been done on it, that it was slap-dash. Anyway, it will rest until I decide what to do with the animals.

Feedback?

Current painting. Called Fracas. The shapes around the animals are all in very subtle different shades of red straight from the tube. The picture quality of the photo is terrible. The canvas is four feet wide by six feet tall. My conundrum is what to do with the animals themselves. I have thought about doing accent colors (just a touch here and there); painting them black, white, and gray like b/w photos; something close to the actual colors; metallic accents; monochrome. So a thought or opinion would be welcome.
